Police in Elkhart responded to a shooting around 7:30 Monday morning.

The shooting happened in the 1700 block of Morehouse Avenue, just southeast of Indiana Avenue and Prairie Street. That’s about a half-mile from Pierre Moran Park.

One person sustained a non-life threatening injury. Police are looking into suspects who ran off before they arrived on the scene. Witnesses reported an argument before the shooting.

One bullet also went into a nearby home, but no one inside was injured.
