A police chase leads to a crash and arrest in Elkhart.

The chase came to a sudden end when the driver crashed the vehicle into a utility pole near 10th Street and Markle Avenue. The car came to a rest off the road near a wooden fence with its front end smashed.

However, officers then had to chase the driver, 20-year-old Justin Brown, after he reportedly ran from the car. WSBT reports he was taken into custody a short time later.

The crash caused a brief power outage for about 100 Indiana-Michigan Power customers in the area.

Brown faces multiple charges including resisting law enforcement and driving with a suspended license.
