(Photos supplied/Elkhart Police Department)

Elkhart Police are asking for help finding a possible counterfeiting suspect.

Officers were called earlier this month to the Dollar General on West Bristol Street. A suspect reportedly tried to make a purchase with counterfeit money, but the employee at the register discovered the money was fake, and the suspect then left.

He’s described as a white male, about 5-foot-7 and weighing 150 pounds.

Anybody with information is asked to contact Detective Scott Hupp of the Elkhart Police Department at (574) 389-4706.
