The Central Region Show Ski Tournament is being moved to Warsaw.

A tournament originally scheduled for northern Illinois will now be hosted by the Lake City Skiers. It’s expected to bring a $200,000 economic boost to the area.

The competition was moved from the Backwater Gamblers show site in Rock Island due to major flooding and strong currents on the Rock River.

The tournament will begin at Hidden Lake on July 14 and go through July 15.

Show ski teams from five states will be participating as they try to earn a spot in the Division 1 National Show Ski Championships in Janeville, Wisconsin in August.
