An 11 year-old girl from Goshen is on antivirals for HIV after she was pricked by a needle at Walnut Park.

A local mother is concerned after her daughter was jabbed with a needle that was inside a soap dispenser in the restroom of Walnut Park.

She told ABC 57 she discovered she’d been stabbed by the needle when she went to use the soap to wash her hands while playing. The syringe was pointing down inside the soap dispenser and poked her when she pushed on it.

After the incident Sunday the girl will be taking anti-viral medications for the next six months as a precautionary measure.
