Police in Goshen are investigating a fatal accident that happened early Monday morning involving a train and pedestrian.

It happened around 3 a.m. on East Lincoln near 8th Street. That’s not far from the Elkhart County Fairgrounds.

Police have confirmed that 17 year-old Charles Adkins of Goshen was killed in the incident.

Traffic in the area was redirected while the investigation continued.
