A woman visiting the Westville Correctional Facility ended up locked up in jail.

That’s because officials say Mariah Hagler tried to smuggle drugs to a prisoner inside.

Officers at the jail already had information that she had been attempting to traffic items, and ABC 57 reports Hagler admitted to having drugs in her vehicle.

She was taken to LaPorte County Jail when the drugs were found. A child that was with her was taken to Child Protective Services.
