No injuries after fire erupts at Old Farm Apartments in Elkhart

There were no injuries when a fire broke out at Old Farm Apartments in Elkhart.

Fire crews were called to the apartment complex just off U.S. 20 in Elkhart around 4 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 10.

Crews arrived to find smoke and flames billowing from the roof area.

Firefighters quickly knocked down the flames.

About $80,000 in damage was done to the building, according to Elkhart Fire Department investigators.

There were 12 apartments affected and occupants moved to other apartments in the complex.
