Blackburn found guilty of murder in Starke County

It’s a guilty verdict in the murder trial of Edward Blackburn in Starke County.

Blackburn was charged with the shooting death of Cord Colgrove, 35, in March 2017.

The shooting happened after attorneys say Colgrove sent threatening messages to his ex-girlfriend who Blackburn was dating.

Blackburn claimed the shooting was self-defense.

Blackburn’s sentencing is scheduled for Oct. 11.
