Guilty plea entered in University Park Mall shooting

A guilty plea has been entered in the case of a shooting back in March outside of the University Park Mall.

According to court documents, Joshua Villanueva-Rose entered the plea on Tuesday, and faces four felony charges including armed robbery and battery with a deadly weapon.

He admitted to police that he pointed a gun into the victim’s car window and it went off.

The woman who was shot survived, and two passengers were uninjured. He’s scheduled to receive his sentence next month.
