A LaPorte teenager was killed in a one-vehicle crash.

It happened around 8 o’clock, Friday night, when police say 18 year-old William Hammerschmidt missed a curve on Taylor Road. Police say his pickup truck went up an embankment before it overturned, and the vehicle’s roof was crushed.

He was pronounced dead at the scene.
