Elkhart Police officer behind bars on suspicion of residential entry, harassment

An Elkhart Police Officer is on the wrong side of the bars at the Elkhart County Jail.

Officer Scott Hupp was arrested for residential entry and harassment on September 26.

Hupp is charged with breaking and entering and telephone harassment, according to court documents.

Hupp, who turned himself in, is on administrative leave until the outcome of criminal and internal investigations.

The target of his alleged harassment was his estranged wife, who filed the complaint last month.
