Republicans in Elkhart County have selected Kevin Bullard to fill the vacant seat on the Elkhart City Council.

In a vote that took place on Thursday, Nov. 29, Bullard was selected over former City Council member David Ashe at the party headquarters in Goshen.

He’ll fill the at-large seat that was vacated by Adam Bujalski on October 29.

Bullard had Bujalski’s endorsement and intends to run in the May primary to try and keep the job.

The Elkhart Truth reports the new councilman brings experience from his time on the city’s Redevelopment Commission but has not held any previous elected office.
