Union Michigan man, woman involved in crash at Sunset Blvd. and US 12

A Union Michigan woman received minor injuries after her car was nearly split in half during a two-vehicle crash.

The collision happened just after 7 a.m. on Friday, Jan. 4,  in the area of Sunset Boulevard and U.S. 12, according to the Cass County Sheriff’s Office.

A preliminary investigation revealed the 33-year-old woman from Union was turning left onto the U.S. 12 Highway from Sunset Boulevard and failed to yield right of way to a pick-up truck being driven by a Union Michigan man.

The woman was treated at the scene for non-life-threatening injuries. The man driving the pick-up was not hurt.
