Antwan Mims found guilty in shooting deaths of Michael Johnson, Cortez Miller

A guilty verdict has been handed down in Berrien County against Antwan Mims for the murders of Michael Johnson and Cortez Miller.

On Friday, Feb. 15, Mims was found guilty of two counts of first degree premeditated murder, possession of a firearm by a felon and two felony weapons counts.

The shooting happened in March 2018 at a party in Benton Harbor.

Prosecuting Attorney Jeff Taylor told 95.3 MNC’s reporting partners at ABC 57 News, the families of the victims are relieved and happy that justice has been served.

Mims captured in Georgia in August, about a month after authorities announced he was added to the FBI’s 10 Most Wanted.

He will be sentenced on March 18.
