Two Warsaw police officers suspended after lying about bootlegged video

Two Warsaw police officers have been suspended after they made bootleg copies of a video involving Police Chief Scott Whitaker and then lying about it.

The video was from a previously reported incident back in January where the chief pulled over an elderly man he suspected of drunk driving.

In the video, the chief can be heard cursing at the elderly man’s wife.

Whitaker was not punished for the incident and has since publicly apologized to the man and his wife.

Officers Ross Minear and Jason Dobbins are both serving 10 days, unpaid suspensions, but could appeal.
