A Warsaw man is in custody after allegedly breaking into a house and putting on one of the resident’s Star Wars costume.

21-year-old Jose Cervantez is facing a burglary charge after being arrested early Monday morning.

The homeowner told officers he woke up and saw Cervantez wearing his son’s costume and shining a flashlight in the doorway of his bedroom.

The Times-Union reports Cervantez removed the costume in the garage and displayed what residents thought was a handgun. It was later determined to be a BB gun.

Officers used a police K-9 to track Cervantez to a nearby location and took him into custody. He is being held on a $30,000 bond.
