Three people charged in connection with Cass County liqour store robbery

Three people have been arrested in connection with a recent robbery at a liquor store in Cass County.

The robbery happened around 9:30 p.m. on April 23, at Sunrise Liquor in the 1000 block of Huntly Road located in Howard Township.

Deputies arrived on scene and spoke to the employee who said three people wearing masks entered the store and began physically assaulting him and forcing him to open the cash drawer.

The suspects took off with money. The worker was treated for his injuries.

Two of the suspects arrested have been identified as Bernard Gaston, 40, and Tajah Martin, 21, both of Niles. They have been were arraigned in Cass County Court.

The third suspect has warrants issued and is currently in the Berrien County Jail on unrelated charges.
