Ahead of the holiday weekend more than 60 thousand pounds of raw beef products have been recalled.

The recall involves beef that may be contaminated with E. coli that was shipped nationwide by Aurora Packing Company. The USDA says a random sample alerted them to the problem during an inspection by the Food Safety and Inspections Service.

As of Thursday when the recall was issued, there were no reports of any illnesses associated with the consumption of beef.
