Indiana and other parts of the midwest had their wettest 12-month period ever between June of 2018 and May of this year.

In fact, the US had its second-wettest month on record last month. NOAA says there were also more than 500 tornado reports across the country last month, which was more than double the three-year average of 226.

The wet weather also included a record-shattering snowstorm in Minnesota on May 9 that dropped more than ten inches of snow in Duluth, and the formation of Subtropical Cyclone Andrea on May 20th, marking the 5th consecutive year that a named storm formed in the Atlantic before the start of Hurricane Season on June 1st.
