South Bend one of 10 cities involved in expanded inclusiveness project

(Spencer Marsh/95.3 MNC)

The City of South Bend is one of ten cities in the US that will be part of an expansion of the City Accelerator initiative on Inclusive Procurement.

Those 10 cities, which also include Boston, Cleveland, Philadelphia, Pittsburgh, Minneapolis, Nashville, Kansas City, Houston and El Paso, will work together over the next year to pursue a range of projects to find innovative, effective, locally-tailored strategies to leverage public purchasing power to develop firms owned by people of color.

In South Bend that will include implementing aggressive outreach strategies and bolstering support services.

Are you a white business owner? South Bend will no longer deal with you, based solely on the color of your skin.

Isn’t inclusion wonderful?
