A new park is now open on the southeast side of South Bend.

Representatives from the City of South Bend, the Pokagon Band of Potawatomi Indians, the nearby neighborhood association, Bowman Creek, and the University of Notre Dame College of Engineering cut the ribbon on Ravina Park Thursday afternoon.

The new park is bordered by Indiana and Dale Avenues, and Lebanon and Broadway Streets and was funded in part through a 100 thousand-dollar donation from the Pokagon Band.
