Mosquito time is returning to Michiana

We’ve had quite a run of wet weather in Michiana. And you know what THAT means.

When ponding water happens, mosquitoes inevitably follow.

Tyler Sebree of ABC 57 says the severity of the mosquito problem in our area is always dependent on daily fluctuations in temperature.

This weekend you can expect an increase in activity as temperatures linger near 80°. By mid month, with a more summer-like pattern of weather establishing itself around June 16th, their numbers will go up.

When low temperatures stop dropping below 50°, the mosquito population is likely to boom.
