Michigan’s Attorney General is working with two State Supreme Court Justices in an effort to fight elder abuse.

Dana Nessel is on a 10-city listening tour with Justices Megan Cavanaugh and Richard Bernstein to hear from people about the often unrecognized and unreported problem.

The first event will be in Grand Rapids on Friday June 14.

It’s estimated that more than 73 thousand older adults in Michigan are victims of elder abuse, be it physical, emotional, financial, or cases of neglect.

The tour will make an appearance at the Berrien County Health Department in Benton Harbor on July 8.
