One of the Elkhart County Prosecutor’s “Most Wanted Fugitives” has been captured.

Ricardo Garcia, also known as Simon Ugarte, was charged with two felony counts of Dealing in Cocaine back in 2007.

For more than a decade Garcia was able to avoid arrest. His face has been featured in public events including the Elkhart County 4-H Fair and Night Out Against Crime. Through those efforts, a tip came in that led to his arrest.

The prosecutor’s office says Garcia was working at a local business under another alias, Jose Alicia, using a false social security number.

He was apprehended this week without incident, and also faces a forgery charge.
