Arrest made after deadly hit-and-run collision in Michigan City

A woman is dead and a man has been arrested after an apparent hit-and-run crash in Michigan City.

It happened around 8 p.m. on  Monday, Aug. 5, at Jackson Street and Michigan Blvd.

Danielle Leigh Stevens, 31, was walking in a crosswalk when she was struck by a a vehicle driven by Billy Morgan, according to investigators.

Morgran left the scene but police later found him later and he arrested.

He faces charged of OWI causing death and leaving the scene of an accident.
