Groups and organizations will soon have the opportunity to be more involved in the beautification of roads and roundabouts in St. Joseph County.

Adopt-A-Spot and Adopt-A-Road programs are being planned for those who would like to sponsor those parts of the community that need upkeep more frequently than the current schedule and budget might allow.

A similar program, Friends of Granger Paths, is already allowing for community involvement in keeping those areas more attractive in that community.

Participating in the county’s adoption program will require a $50 permit, part of which is used for safety and cleanup equipment made available to the buyer.
