Cassopolis man identified as victim of deadly motorcycle crash

The victim in a deadly motorcycle crash has been identified.

The collision happened around 10 a.m. on Friday, Aug. 23, at County Road 5 and Treva.

Elkhart County Sheriff’s officials say Frederic Finley, 57, of Cassopolis, was on his motorcycle when he was hit by a car that turned onto the road without yielding the right-of-way.

The car was driven by a 57-year-old woman from Granger. She was not hurt.

The sheriff’s department is still investigating the crash.
