A man was arrested after allegedly passing phony $50 bills during a transaction arranged online.

The victim who received the false bills notified the Mishawaka Police back in March that he’d been given fake currency in return for his PlayStation, controllers, and a few games.

He discovered this while attempting to spend one of the bills. Police were able to find the real name of the buyer, Nicholas Pendergrass, who had used a fake name for the transaction.

He was arrested for counterfeiting earlier this month.
