16-year-old struck by pickup truck in Elkhart

A 16-year-old is in the hospital after being struck by a pickup truck on Monday, Sep. 23.

Elkhart Police were called to the intersection of Johnson Street and Baldwin Avenue just before 7 a.m. on reports of a vehicle vs. pedestrian accident.

The 16-year-old girl was struck by the truck as she was crossing eastbound on Baldwin Ave. She was taken to Memorial Hospital in South Bend via an ambulance, though no details have been released on her condition.

Police also report there were no arrests or citations issued at the scene of the crash.
