October is Agritourism Month in Michigan

Governor Gretchen Whitmer has declared October to be Michigan Agritourism Month.

It’s a celebration of the economic and social benefits of the Michigan growers, and the influx of tourists and dollars each year that offer a boost each fall.

Many farms offer chances to pet animals, give kids the opportunity to pick out a pumpkin, and more as their parents shop the variety and bounty of Michigan’s farms.

A number of schools also plan field trips to farms.
