An 8 year-old child was injured in a two-vehicle crash in Elkhart County on Saturday.

Police say it happened at the intersection of State Road 13 and County Road 10 just north of Middlebury. The report suggests a small passenger car with three people in it ran a stop sign and crash into a box van driven by a Jackson, Michigan man.

A little girl in the car suffered head injuries and was transported to Memorial Hospital in South Bend. There’s no word on her condition and police say she had NOT been wearing a seat-belt at the time of the crash.
