Changes coming to dangerous intersection in Plymouth

(INDOT)

A problematic intersection in Plymouth is getting ready to undergo some changes designed to make it safer.

INDOT will be altering U.S. 30 to eliminate left turns at Plymouth Goshen Trail in either direction. The department says there have been several crashes in that area, including one that recently killed a 44 year-old woman whose vehicle was struck by a semi.

The new, safer plan involves US 31 or Michigan Street and work begins today (Mon). Some pavement removal in the median is likely sometime next year.
