There’s a new fitness center at Concord High School.

Construction started in September of last year and wrapped up over the summer. The $5 million project replaces a weight room that was 40 years old, and had been outgrown by the school’s needs.

Students told ABC 57 the new center is a huge improvement, and school officials say that the center will benefit student athletes as well as provide the chance for additional school fitness courses.

The public will have a chance to see the new facility Wednesday from 3:30 to 7.
