South Bend woman dies in Michigan crash

A South Bend woman was killed in a crash Sunday afternoon in Berrien County.

It happened around noon on US-31 in Oronoko Township.

Michigan State Police say the driver, whose name has not been released, went off the road and over-corrected in an attempt to get back on the road. She rolled her car and hit a tree.

Officials say she was thrown from the vehicle, and they don’t believe drugs or alcohol were involved in the crash.
