A man has been charged in connection with a stabbing death in Michigan City.

Jacob Van Dyke is accused in the murder of Jasson Nelson, who died last month.

It was back in late October when Michigan City Police were called to Franklin and 9th Streets where they found Nelson with stab wounds to the chest, according to 95.3 MNC’s reporting partners at ABC 57.

Nelson was taken to Memorial Hospital where he died a few days later.

Last week, an arrest warrant was issued and Van Dyke was arrested on a murder charge.
