​The Pierceton Police Department is asking for the community’s assistance in locating the suspect who robbeD the Lake City Bank in Pierceton.

The heist happened around 1:55 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 23.

The male suspect entered the bank, displayed a handgun and ordered the employees to the ground.  

Surveillance video shows the suspect wearing a cream-colored South Pole hooded sweatshirt with brown elbow patches, blue jeans, blue gloves with white tips, and a blue bandana covering his face.  

The suspect placed the money in a red drawstring type backpack with white lettering before fleeing the bank on foot. 

Anybody with information is asked to contact Michiana Crime Stoppers toll free at 1-800-342-STOP.

Crime Stoppers will pay up to $1,000 for information that leads to an arrest or indictment.

Tipsters will be assigned a code number and all tips remain anonymous.
