Jones Michigan man on bicycle struck by car on M-40

A 57-year-old Jones Michigan man was hospitalized after he was struck by a car.

The collision happened around 6:40 p.m. on Sunday, Jan. 26, on M-40 near Hoffman Street in Newberg Township in Cass County.

The driver of a red Chevrolet Malibu was heading north bound coming over a hill and was unable to see the man who was riding a bicycle.

The man was taken to Three Rivers Health Hospital for treatment of his injuries.

Alcohol and drugs were not factors in the crash.
