A woman was placed under arrest after Cass County Sheriff’s deputies found her inside a stolen RV.

Deputies were called around 6 p.m. on Sunday, Jan. 26, to investigate a suspicious RV being driven in a field on Osborn near Eagle Point Road in Calvin Township.

Deputies located the RV stuck in the field and tried to contact the occupant inside, but the woman would not speak with deputies and refused to open the door.

During the investigation deputies learned that the RV was stolen from a manufacturer’s lot in Middlebury.

After approximately 4 hours, deputies were able to obtain a key for the front door and get inside.

The woman was taken into custody and lodged at the Cass County Jail.
