Michigan State Troopers on the lookout for a different kind of “buzzed driving”

The Michigan State Police are stepping up their efforts to stop people from driving under the influence of drugs.

Troopers say drugged driving is just as dangerous as drunk driving, and officers can conduct a sobriety test if they suspect a driver is under the influence or smelled marijuana in the vehicle. Anyone who refuses to take a field test can be subjected to a search warrant.

Here is Michigan’s list of penalties if you violate the law.
