New data released by the Indiana Department of Workforce Development shows the state saw several positive developments last year, including a record number of Hoosiers working in June in the private sector.

That number was more than 2.75 million working. Additionally, unemployment fell to 3 point 2 percent in September, the lowest level since December 2000.

And unemployment claims were at their lowest level in more than a decade. Indiana’s labor force participation rate was 64.4% — which was higher than the national rate.
