Goshen Hospital will be opening a time capsule that was buried more than 60 years ago.

It was buried in the wall of the original hospital entrance in November of 1953. It will opened at a public ceremony on February 24 at 11 a.m.

Goshen Health President and Chief Executive Officer Randy Christophel said they hope to get a glimpse into their predecessors’ vision for health care in the community, and called it “an invaluable part” of their history.

The contents will be resealed into a new time capsule that will be included in the new patient tower, which is under construction.
