Nappanee man who admitted sexual relationship with minor sentenced

It’s a six year sentence for a Nappanee man who prosecutors say admitted to having a sexual relationship with an underage girl.

Kevin Hapner, 30, was arrested in November 2018 after Nappanee Police say Hapner admitted on Facebook messenger he sex with the girl, but denied knowing her age, according to 95.3 MNC’s reporting partners at The Elkhart Truth.

Investigators say they also found nearly 500 text messages between Hapner and the girl on her phone.

The girl told police Hapner knew how old she was.

Hapner pleaded guilty to sexual misconduct with a minor and was sentenced to three years in a community corrections program and three years probation.
