Body found in Lake Michigan off Tiscornia Beach may be missing Chicago woman

A body found floating in Lake Michigan off Tiscornia Beach in Berrien County is believed to be that of a missing woman from Chicago.

The discovery was made around 6 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 19. The body was described as that of an Asian female, approximately 55 years of age, wearing a dark green jacket and sweatpants.

There was no apparent trauma to the body

An autopsy was conducted on Thursday and revealed no apparent trauma to the body.

A positive identification of the body will be completed forensically through dental records and DNA at a later date.
