A bill in the Michigan legislature seeks to stop the declawing of cats in the state.

The House Bill would prohibit declawing and any other surgical procedure that “prevents normal functioning of the claws” unless it’s necessary for the health of the animal.

If this is made law, anyone to violate the ban could result in a fine of no more than $1,000. You can read the full bill by clicking here.

Why does a state legislature think that is their business?????!!!!! Don’t they have something more important to do???? If not, adjourn the session – NOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
