The Mishawaka Public Schools say they will be ending their year earlier than had been planned.

The South Bend Tribune reports that the school year will wrap up on May 20. Spring Break, which had been scheduled for this week, was canceled, and district leaders say they are still meeting the state requirements for remote learning days with the new deadline.

The district says all employees, whether hourly or salaried, will continue to be paid while the buildings are closed.
