More details on Goshen shooting

According to police the suspect, 34 year old Rex Horton, admitted to shooting 41 year old Victor Kibit on Sunday; and said he was contemplating suicide at the time.

Kibit is still recovering from serious life threatening injuries at Memorial Hospital in South Bend.

Horton told police that someone had dropped him off at the Speedway gas station at US 20 and SR 15, where he walked around the parking lot with a shotgun; and then when Kibit approached the two began to talk and Horton shot him.

There has been no indication that the victim and shooter knew each other prior to the incident.
