A 35-year-old man was shot in the abdomen in Elkhart.

The shooting took place around 2:30 p.m. on Tuesday, June 16, in the area of Wolf and Oakland Avenue.

The victim was taken to South Bend Memorial Hospital for treatment of the non-life-threatening wound.

So far there is no word of any suspects, arrests or information about the circumstances that led to the shooting.
