AMC Theatres, including their locations in South Bend and Elkhart, will be waiting another two weeks before they open nationwide.

The announcement was made Monday and takes into account the newly rescheduled release dates of major motion pictures.

About 450 AMC Theatres will open on July 30, and the remaining 150 locations will reopen the following week.

The company hopes to be in full operation in August with a streamlined concessions menu, new cleaning procedures, social distancing and more.
