South Bend Fire crews battled a blaze at Prosper Apartments, the former Park Jefferson Apartments.
Crews were called to the complex around 12:40 a.m. on Saturday, July 4, and spent most of the overnight hours dousing the fire.
There was no report of any injuries. There was no immediate word about the cause of the fire.
As many as 8 families or tenants have been displaced.
